BONTEN THINKS EMERALD'S DOING OKAY!

Mytho is back to normal, and that's fantastic. It means that the team just has to worry about keeping him in skirts and not hurting himself for their sake and stuff like that! Rather than, you know, being evil. It's a big weight off Bonten's shoulders! Asuka being booked is something that upsets him -- for all they sometimes got on each other's nerves, he was fond of her, and she was part of the original team -- but she was just so volatile and unhappy that part of him honestly wonders if maybe it's better for her this way. He hasn't had time to form much of an impression of Roxas so far, but he seems like he has the potential to fit in.

So… yeah! Things are looking up for Emerald, in Bonten's estimation.

What are your characters' impressions of Emerald? :B Doesn't have to be detailed or anything.

MUKURO RESPECTS KNIFE. goes back and forth on liking her. IN GENERAL HE THINKS EMERALD IS A PRETTY 'DEPENDABLE' TEAM though he doesn't have a strong impression. He thought Asuka was lolarious though.

BREAK HAS NO IMPRESSION he is bad at grouping people by team anyway esp cos he can't see the colors.

How is Silver doing?

HAVING GINSHU BE HAPPY... I mean wait :'D Uh, I'm not sure! I think I'd like them to work together in a game again, but that's something they've already done. Also have more sleepovers! Possibly ones that are actually played out this time :D

NOT REALLY? Other than to cement his existing ones. Itachi is a good person to have on Emerald! He's calm and intelligent and Bonten finds him pretty easy to get along with! He even appreciates the way Itachi looked after him and the other deaged Emeralds during Mother Goose's game, though of course he will never speak of it ever :B So yeah! Itachi is in Bonten's good books.

Itachi likes Bonten. He kind of thinks of him as someone who has similar tastes and who he can kind of chill with without conversation always being necessary. Which is kind of nice.

What did tiny!Bonten think of Emerald?

Sasuke hasn't made a particularly strong impression on Silver, but that's just because... most people don't. He seems easy enough to get along with, and Silver definitely has a positive impression of him in that he takes his role as a knight seriously and, well, he's a fellow Onyx member! Silver appreciates that Sasuke's kind of quiet and doesn't get up in other people's business, because, wel, obviously he's the same. They should thread more :|b

IDK THAT'S WHY I ASKED YOU. I do want another shakeup of their relationship, but it might have to coincide with BAD BAD BAD PLACES for Ginshu which I am a bit exhausted with at the moment, so I'm not looking for anything in particular.

…Can I ask for a relationship meme? SHOULD I WAIT? UH. If Bonten had a chance to change things in Ginshu's heart, would he? What would it be?

BASICALLY THE SAME. Sasuke is starting to close off, but he appreciates the fact Silver isn't the type to pry or make a lot of questions because Sasuke prefers quiet and calm people. He also has a positive impression of him so far, and I'll try to tag him next time I see him out. :x

How is Bonten doing?

Silver's doing okay! Being on Onyx and having Sneasel have really done a lot to make him more comfortable in his position as a Knight and just in Aather in general.

His one big issue is that he still can't reconcile his early memories with his later ones -- how did he move from wherever he was with the masks to thievery to actually having friends and being in a respected position? It frustrates him, because he feels like he's missing some key piece to understanding himself. He told Viola that he doesn't really know how to be happy, and that's more or less true. He's like an auxiliary member of the No Feelings Club: he doesn't have the same basis for understanding human interaction as most people do. And he doesn't know why, and that's bothering him a lot. He knows that in his later memories, he's starting to learn what it's like to care for people other than his sister and that he has people he considers to be friends. But he's missing both the knowledge of why he's messed up and the memories that would go a long way to clearing up how Gold and Crys became his friends.

SO THAT IS FRUSTRATING! And he's worried that he's going to hurt the people he's begun to care about in Aather because of it.

If Break could regain his eyesight by losing some other sense or body part, would he?

He might change some things, yeah. He would like for her to be able to be happy, but at the same time he doesn't want to affect the core pieces of her personality that make her the person he's known and cared for all these years. If there was a way to resolve the "curse" in a better fashion so that she didn't have to suffer such pain from her body, he'd definitely do that. Other than that... if he could somehow boost her ability to live for herself, he'd do that too :B

Gosh that is just so antithetical to Ginshu that I'm not even sure I could play with it. :'D TO BOOST IT, IT WOULD NEED TO EXIST ANYMORE IN THE FIRST PLACE…

I was going to say, no, she wouldn't change anything but then I realized that depending on when you asked, she might sneakily take all the bits of herself in Bonten's heart and SMASH THEM TO TINY BITS :) :) :) She's helping!

FINE, THEN HE'D BOOST WHATEVER IT WAS TOKI KINDLED IN HIS WHOLE "WHAT ABOUT AYAME" SPEECH >8|!! also goddammit Ginshu.

................ either Leon/Judas or Emil. Leon would be hard because I'd want to start him off in a way that might push him in different directions than he went in CFUD and Micro, since he had definite character arcs in both of those games, and while I enjoyed them, if I played him in a game again I'd like to do something new. Plusssss more than half his memories would be "AND THEN MY LIFE SUCKED" followed by "AND THEN MY LIFE SUCKED EVEN MORE," which might get a little tedious to play out. Emil, on the other hand... playing the contrast between his personalities is one of my favorite parts of his character, but putting together his registry and dealing with how his memories affected him would be difficult. I like that he and Ratatosk have an understanding by the end of the game, and I'd want to find a way to keep that rather than have them devolve into the antagonism of midgame.

If you were actually able to app Iwashita, what would her starting memory be?

WHAT HE BOOSTED WAS GIVING HER A NEW GOAL! A very selfish goal, compared to "duty," but it's still an external thing that she can strive for and is, in Aather… she's just not good at it and isn't really sure what she should be doing different. :/a Marie was really her guide there.

OH GOD UM. I think it would either be something very bland and normal-girl-ish or "so, freshman I have never met, will you be my boyfriend? :)" because what I like about her IS that kind of danger danger self-confidence and vague unsettle. But I never will be able to so I don't have to think about it HA. 8D

Okay seriously though. Most of Hiwa's interactions are with other ayakashi who resent him and yet are forced to at least appear to respect him out of fear/actual respect for Byakuroku. So he has developed a thick outer shell of I DON'T CARE, YOU GUYS ALL SUCK, LEAVE ME ALONE... despite the fact that he actually desperately craves acceptance. Humans are stupid and weak and try to kill ayakashi so who cares about them, anyway!

... only in Aather there were mostly humans and they were concerned with him and basically, he had no idea what the fuck! So mostly he was confused and defensive and suspicious. But he was interested in them despite himself. So. Itachi got some grudging respect for being calm and admitting how stupid the whole situation was. KK... he probably would have gotten into a fight with eventually, sob!! In some ways, Jade fit his mental image of humans best, in that he was interested in Hiwa's wings and generally confusing. He just felt bad for Hisoka because, jeez, here's a human who actually has some useful skills, and his parents want to kill him?! Humans really do suck!

And. Yeah.

What did Itachi think of being responsible for tons of tiny Emeralds?

Bonten's doing all right! As I mentioned to AJ above, he feels good about Mytho being back to normal, and he's more or less made peace with the Asuka --> Roxas switch. He's cautiously navigating his relationship with Ginshu and has no idea that she's pursuing the possibility of a voluntary book-ing due to her suicidal tendencies. SO THAT'LL BE EXCITING EVENTUALLY. At this point, he doesn't expect his memories to hold many surprises (... he's wrong and right at the same time, since I'm sure the manga's about to pull some crazy stuff on us, but obviously it's not in his registry yet), though he's aware that he's eventually going to win some pretty terrible ones.

Third thoughts! I'm still not apping a third at this point (or possibly ever? WHO KNOWS.) because honestly having two is all I can handle. I'd really like to app a girl, because Aather's lack of girls makes me go (UNSURE) a lot and that's sad. Kou Shuurei or Aqua would be my top choices. If I could have two knights I'd be much more tempted :'D BUT LUCKILY FOR ME...
